Integrative Agriculture

Our Northern Senegal Integrative Agriculture project was initiated by Senegalese Food Scientist, Nimsate Kane. With collaboration from multiple village communities in Northern Senegal, multidisciplinary professionals in Senegal, and our incubator, this project includes three components: fish farming, food crops, and holistically managed livestock. This project is designed to:

  • diversify food sources

  • restore the land by reversing desertification and increasing native food crops

  • sequester carbon

  • improve nutrition

  • prevent illnesses

  • increase economic vitality

  • increase irrigation and clean water access

  • partner with the Global EcoVillage Network

  • share our process with other African peoples to increase access to our learnings
